This lamp has been passed down to me. I was looking for a lamp shade for it. I started to wonder from what era it was from. It has a new cord in it and the plate is missing off the bottom. I was wondering if anyone out there had any information about it. Thank you. :)

I have a very similar pair of these lamps and from my research, I think they are American made and probably manufactured in the 1930s -1940s.
I took my lamps apart (carefully keeping all of the parts, and use them as vases for a mantle. They are lovely as vases, I think more so than as lamps.
