1962+, part of parure. Sawrovski released the first aurora borealis crystals in 1956, the round art 5300 is retired. Signed with copyright symbol and Pat 2809501 on the goldtone clips. Swarovski AB crystals in peridot, olivine, turmaline (retired) and effect vitrail medium. Also found in blue.
This 1957 clip was patented by Coro Inc. of Rhode Island, parent company of Vendome. The patent says "the present invention relates to the jewelry art, and has particular reference to a novel construction for an earring ear wire. The principal object of the invention is to provide an ear wire having an ear lobe engaging member with adjustable tension."
