Signed Vendome with copyright symbol and Pat 2809501 on the silvertone clips. Also found in blue, lilac, white and orange all with clear aurora borealis crystals. Swarovski released the first AB crystals in 1956.
This 1957 clip was patented by Coro Inc. of Rhode Island, parent company of Vendome. The patent says "the present invention relates to the jewelry art, and has particular reference to a novel construction for an earring ear wire. The principal object of the invention is to provide an ear wire having an ear lobe engaging member with adjustable tension."
