These are two very different phases of Navajo weaving and early designs and color. the geometric design was a surprise to me as being a design that the Navajos used in this way , but the striped rug is one that I knew was a Navajo design,but I just learned it was one of the early ones, not so colorful ,yet an important piece! Both are wool woven and narrow like runners.
