This is a 1944 deutrches '10' Reich coin with an eagle and swastika on the front and the number 10 on the back. It is oxidized brass with some corrosion, otherwise in good condition. I have held onto it for years. I won a whole jar of mixed coins in a bet from my brother when we were little. Most of them were from vacation spots around the world and about 5 are rare.

10 Pfennig - Deutches Reich - I believe these are made of zinc for the war years like the U.S. pennys were in 1943. Germany needed copper for ammo casings. Thats why they oxidize so bad.
Thats right.. I do remember researching that a couple months ago! Thank you for correcting me. :-)
