These Mahjong cards are 3 3/8 x 1 5/8 inches and are on same stock as normal playing cards. The printing style leads me to think they were printed in the 1940s. They have fantastic images. Can anyone tell me more about them? It would be appreciated.

these are very beautiful:)
I agree. It was the artwork that first got my attention. Didn't realize they were mahjong related until I noticed the wheel and bamboo symbols on some cards.
Very nice. I have a very old ivory set, but I don't know the cards and what they were used for. The game has started as a card game originally, but I don't think these are from those early days.
