My roommate is from Chicago and he is a huge White Sox fan. He wears this hat all the time and I actually have no idea if the White Sox ever wore this in games. Do you know? It is a fairly flimsy hat, but the design is cool. I'm not sure it's ideal for baseball -- I don't know if it can withstand the rigors.

It is called a painter hat. It was popular in the 1980's. It isn't very valuable but a white sox's fan or collector may like it because this is the old logo before they changed their Jerseys in the early 1990's. I would estimate it being worth about 2 to 3 dollars since it has some wear and tear. If you could get a player from the White Sox's from the era it could increase it's value.
