I have been told that this is a Stamp cabinet from a Post Office. My Grandparents owned the building that housed the local US Post Office in the 30's and 40's. They had to furnish it, when they left they fell heir to this piece. It has been in my house ever since.
Question? Is this a Stamp Cabinet and what is it worth? I can not find anything like this.
Thanks

That's what it is, we have one too. Not sure what it's worth.
Here is a link to a US postal fixture company catalog, you should be able to your piece in here somewhere.

This example is from the 50's and value is pretty low, about $25.00
