Hi,
I picked this up at a garage sale quite a few years ago, forgot about
it, & was cleaning out my closet and came across this again. I have a
Original "Mr. Ed" "Talking Horse Head" in wonderful condition & still works. It still has the tag on it ( Made By Mattel) on one side, &
(Mr. Ed) on the other side of the tag. Does anyone out there know approximately what years these were made? And, How much it would be worth? I have no intentions of selling it, but I surely would be grateful if someone knew more about this. I have to start getting rid of things, but I don't believe this is something I should part with. Do you think this is an antique? Any info at all would be helpful. Thank-You so much !!!

If this is antique, then so am I :-)) - call it Vintage 1960's
We had one exactly like this growing up. It's probably still somewhere in my mom's cellar.
Hi Mustangtony,
Thank-you for your input. Yes, If 1960's is Vintage then I'm almost Vintage also. Do You know if the Mr. Ed Talking Head is worth much? Or can you direct to me to another site to find more info on it. Merry Christmas
There's an ad on eBay showing one from 1964. Cost $5.98 at the time.
Hey Jonima,
Thanks for replying, that a shame, I thought it would be worth more.
But I appreciate you taking the time to answer me. Merry Christmas!!
There are several on ebay. Google Mr. Ed talking horse puppet and check out the different prices for the value. (what other sellers are asking) Yours looks very clean and is working but is not Mint because you dont have the box. Your true value is always based on what someone is willing to pay for it.
Lisa288 - jonima said it cost $5.98 at the time - that was in 1964 $$
