This is a jar for honey. It has a glass dip stick. There is a Queen bee sitting on top of the jar. I have never used it for honey but I can imagine it on the kitchen counter full of delicious honey.

    The plate looks like a different maker / era than the honey pot.

    The honey pot looks like pattern 2720 (made in Germany or West Germany), the plate looks like 1940's - notice the color and overglaze covers the plate foot and the three post marks from when it was fired.
