hi there I bought these lamps at a auction and i need to find out about them i bought both for 5 bucks and i think they are asian the bottom is porcilain and has raised numbers of 5977 if any one knows about lamps please let me know if i made a good pick how can i tell if they are authintic

5977 that could mean a year..I have two dogs with numbers on the bottom and that means a year. If you find a book on lamps and what the numbers on the bottom means.. Then, you can figure out when it was made.
