I hear ya Savoy, some metals are obsolete only cause of when & where served. These are my Vietnam metals from 1970. The vietnam metal campaign w/o pin is because I didn't step one foot in vietnam, cause we were a support group ( corps of eng) in Thailand. Also these are on one solid bar, not 3 seperate metals. I Slaute All the Vets who served......

My dad was drafted but never set foot in Vietnam either. He had his papers to go to Vietnam but then the Pueblo Incident happened so he was sent to the DMZ in Korea for 13 months.

Jsw14, I doesn't matter where we served or when, we are all still Vets from WW2, Korea, Viet Nam, and the Cold War.

I grew up in the shadow of Fort Knox, KY. I have always held in high reverence those who have served. God bless them all.

    Thank you for your service.

I had an uncle that was a very confused soldier. He was in the Army, living and working on an Navy aircraft carrier and repairing gages for the USAF. He took the Army Pay, ate the Navy's food and fixed the Air Forces equipment.

As Tom Said, we all did our parts. Different branches, different times, different conflicts, but we served our nation honorably.

Did you get to see Bob Hopes tour while in Thailand? I recently read his book about the "Last Christmas Show" and he always loved to do Thailand.
