An ale glass with hops and barley motif etched on it circa 1810. Made in the classic ovoid rummer shape, 18th century ale glasses were usually smaller more conical affairs, as ale was quite strong. I have also read that they used to put a bit of ether in it, so you wouldn't want too much of that.
