Any information about my little "melon covered sugar" dish would be appreciated! It has a little slot on the handle end that a spoon handle would fit through.
It is a precious gift from my old aunt Rose who does not remember where or when she received it. Just "a long time ago".
Was it originally part of a larger collection of items such as it is or ??

Hi Carla, didn't find your mark in Gotheborg's Japanese porcelain marks, but the addition of 'Made in Japan' suggests a date between 1921 and 1940, or after April 1952. If it's part of a set and someone recognizes the pattern, you may be able to get a valuation at Replacements.com. best Wishes, Jim
Thanks so much for the information Jim! I will certainly contact Replacements; they helped me add to a silver pattern years ago. Yours Sincerely, Carla
