Pictured is an 1884 Carson City Morgan Dollar. Over 1.1 million coins were minted in 1884, many of which were uncirculated and discovered in a U.S. Treasury Dept. vault in 1964 (this particular coin being one of them). Since so many of the 1884 coins (and a few other years) were kept in a vault for nearly 100 years, almost all of them are in mint condition (as is this one). It is rarer for Key Dates (1889, 1885, 1893, and 1879 Carson City Morgan Dollars) to have mint-state grades.
