The Antique Farm Tools were given to me by my 85 year old neighbor, Syd. He knows of my "picking" hobby and wanted them to go to someone who appreciated them as much as he does. They were his father's tools as a young man. The rocking chair belonged to my maternal grandmother. I recently refinished the piece for my sister and am now looking for someone to fit a cushion for the seat. The wagon wheel was found on the side of the road. It is Huge and Heavy. I asked a local busniessman who specializes in powder coating to restore the iron wheel as well as an old milk can which now serves as the table base. A glass cutter friend cut a donut hole through the glass table top which fits over the hub of the wheel. Had our first Christmas Dinner at this table. Many more to come, God willing :) The Post Office bureau (or at least that is what I think it is) is my lastest pick. What a find! Ive been asked many times if the piece will be refinished. My response...."No Way" I Love the multi-toned stain and rustic condition. Just needs a coat of poly to protect it for the years to come in my dining area adjacent to the wagon wheel dining table. More picks and digs from Grandmother's (Non's) attic in the next few postings. This is so much fun!!! Maureen
