This is my lunch box when I was in elementary school, I just mainly would like to point out the 4th picture which is the inside of the lid & contains safety propaganda which reads as follows. "SAFETY FIRST" is an important rule. At home, at play, and in your school. The school patrol is on guard each day, And they know the rules you should obey. So watch for cars with each step you take, And cross at the corners for safety's sake. There's really no need to play in the street, Since playgrounds are better places to meet. Learn all the rules of the games you play. They'll be safer if done in the proper way. Remember to walk, not run, in the halls. Keeping to the right will save you from falls. When lunch is over, clear the trash away, And go on to have fun in the "Safety Way"! In conclusion, let us all reflect to the days when a parents concerns were as minimal as their child crossing the street safely.

I just pulled the exact same lunch box out of the attic. This was my first grade lunch box and loved it everyday. I just passed it to my twelve year old to take his lunch to school with him, I must be crazy because I just saw the same box on line for $240.00 my kid is going to get mugged for a lunch box. Kinda funny that the inside of the box is about safety and there is a good chance my son with be less safe because of the box....he he he he. Lucky I life in a small town, I am more afraid that a teacher might see the box and check how much it is worth and I will never see it again.
