In late 1800 and early 1900, religious medals were frequently used by people as a form of protection. There were of different metals (copper, brass, aluminum) are now part of a story of faith and only seen in collections.

Blunderbuss2 : I continue collecting bottles of drinks, chips nitrate, beverage labels, crown corks and old packs of cigarettes, but sometimes things come to my hands as "religious medals" I bought out of curiosity only.
