    Outside bezel size 5/8 x 3/4 approx.
    12 Diamonds
    We just were gifted this Beauty but dont know anything about Diamonds... The Jewler that put a battery in for us says the Diamonds are Real.
    Our Friend says $177.00 over 40 years ago ?
    Any information will help...Value ~ Age Etc
    Back says base metal bezel/st steel back.
    12 Diamonds total.

      Hello from colorado. I believe that the first quartz watch was introduced in 1969 by Seiko, 42 years ago. by then, the original Gruen watch co. had been dead and gone for a decade. I imagine that the value of the watch is equal to the value of the diamonds. The watch itself was most likely made by one of the newer companies that " borrow " the old names such as Elgin,Benrus, Gruen etc.

      Guess Im looking for an Appraisel now.... I belive that would have to be in person with a jewler ... For the Diamonds.
