Brass and Wood Map?

I purchased this map because I've never seen a brass map before and it is perfect for an empty wall I have. It's 20x11. However, I can't find any information on it. Ideally, I would like a few others similar to it but, have come up empty in my research because perhaps I don't know what its actual name is. I tried nautical map, old world map I even tried looking up the names mentioned on it. I've contacted a map expert who (without viewing the pictures) said it was a plate used to make maps. However, the writing on the map is not mirrored so that seems unlikely to me. Any ideas on what to call this so I can locate more of them? Or any information at all?
