    This African mask was sold to me as an actual tribal mask used during ceremonies. I unfortunately don't know anything else about it.The front is wood and the back is an uunknown natural fiber of some sort. It would fit on top of a head. Any help identifying it would be great!

      pictures are kind of dark. - is it possible it was made out of a coconut, that would explain the natural fibers inside.

      No it's not coconut. The fibers are on the back side of the mask. You would put your head in between the wood face and fiber back.
