Old platter

I got this platter from an eldery laddy who wants to show and tell her stuff with me, so I thought that I would post this one. All she can tell me is that it is old. I took three pictures of it so you can tell me what you think. I was not sure what category to put this in so I put it under China and Dinnerware. If you think it should go somewhere else, then let me know. I am not really knowledgeable on items like this and others that I am posting, but I sure am having fun and learning. Thanks for looking
