The first and last piece of Russian Laquerware that I collected in the early 1970s.

This box is from the village of Fedoskino, one of four principal Russian lacquer box-making villages. The subject, according to the ticket, is "Landscape". It is hard to read the signature, but it ends "--itov", indicating that the painter was a man. The value is likely under $100.
