I am not sure if these earrings are real or not, but are beautiful anyway. I am wondering if they are of the 1950-1960s.
Im just learning to date the clasps on brooches, but I have no idea how to date earrings. Im hoping to learn anything I can about these vintage earrings.
Vintage costume earrings:
in old times earrings were fashionable, so all women had pierced ears. Following they were out of fashion so youngs didn't had holes! When fashion turned again, earrings were screw-backs to suit non pierced ears!
But you can encounter antique earrings which had been modified...
stones are strass or rhinestones or pastes (i.e. crystals), backed in metal, old/vintage because prong set, not glued!
Hope you wear them, they are cute!
