I hope we both get answers! I have found these to be very comfortable. The last person to ulphoster said it was too heavy for him to do again, so this cover is about 25 years ago - wish I had done original velvet-like cover.
I can really see the similarity to my chair in the 1st photo - especially with the flat armrest tops and the low back. So it sounds like you don't know what the name, style or period of that chair is either? The closest I could come up with in my quest is an overstuffed upholstered version of a Morris chair.
I will check again also - I cannot remember who told me Sears - will check Morris. I just love theses chairs and feel they are classic! If you discover, please post your findings!
