Again these represent another three of many. I would say a large portion of the figurines I have are of: A lady & a gentleman. Sometimes one or the other or both are playing some sort of instrument. Or they have a pet on a leash. The only criteria I stuck to when acquiring these pieces was that they had to be stamped "made in occupied Japan" and the condition had to be perfect. As in "no chips" or "flaws" of any kind. They also had to have vibrant un-faded colors. What I have ended up with is a group of highly collectible china pieces that everybody and their brother wants to purchase from me. But as in most of my things I collect, I'm not parting with any at the present time. Sometimes I think I don't want to have to put my kids through the trouble of getting rid of all this stuff once I'm gone, and then sometimes I think I should start selling off everything except the "family heirlooms". As of today,... I think I'll hang on to all of 'em for a while longer...

I love these! I found one in my mother's old things (Mom grew up in the depression/WWII). It is a colonial looking man and woman. I loved it so much I keep my eyes out for more, but have only been able to find one more--a colonial looking man with a bell--maybe a town crier.
