Does anybody have any info. on this Prince Albert tin with patterned brown covering. It seems to precise to be homemade. Covering is very tight to the top & bottom edges, side seam, and embossing near the lid. I would like to know when it was made, perhaps the dots above the R and below the N would help, and why it was made like this? Maybe a promotional.

Is it just Paint on the tin? Is there any product writing on top of this paint like it was printed there?

I think someone painted it and made the swooshing mark/design in it......my opinion. See what others say....?

It does feel like an oil painting, the swooshes feel scratched in. But look closely at the side seam, some of the swooshes follow thru the seam, some don't. Same on the top lip (folded over) of the tin. Also (looking at the center picture) if I drag my fingernail from his left elbow towards the grey trim ring there is a slight ridge where it transitions from grey to red, and then another slight ridge where it transitions from red to brown. Have you had any luck with dating this by the dots that are over the R and under the N, as my other PA tin does not have these dots. Thank you for your input. PS Can't find any product writing.
