Onions - yes. Date: c. 1710-1730. Most likely English (the find location and lip finish are pretty conclusive!). The undamaged one may be a pancake (c. 1705-1720; wider than it is tall). The glass appears to be devitrified from being buried in damp soil for about 3 centuries. Although it could be "polished" there really is no cleaning it. And if there is any damage under the surface, the process could destroy the bottles. The damaged one would have mostly historical rather than monetary value. The undamaged one, in good condition, would be worth on the order of 300 GBP, but substantially less in its present condition, unless one finds a specialty collector who emphasizes surface encrustation.
