I love antiques and had my eye on a pair of retro chairs that took us almost a year to restore (without affecting the original)... then I got them, finally!!
My friend lost her husband and needed to take her 3 children back to England to move in with her mother... I offered to help and bought these two beauties from her! :-)
We had them restored and chose a dark red ox-blood & chocolate leather.
The restorer said they were extremely old and that they could probably tell me the year if I needed to know.
Is this also known as a rocket chair?
