Genuine Vintage Wooden Carving or not???

I bought this framed wooden hand carved picture from a guy in the UK who said that two containers of these were bought, with a variety of different characters, some 30 years ago and then he died. This one is of Minnie Mouse playing golf. He also said that they stayed in storage until his Will could be sorted for 11 years. I have no idea if this is the truth but it is the most amazing piece of work.

The colours are not painted they are all different types of wood.

I just wondered if anyone had any idea if this may be a genuine article. The box, albeit a little battered, smells really old (like an old book).

Apparently, they were being shipped over to Disneyland Paris for it's opening back in the '70's? 80's??

Would love to know if anyone has seen anything like this before.
