I have six of those Holcomb Oil bottles....although I have not tried to sell any recently....over 5 years ago I sold one for 160 dollars...so apparently they do have
some value for collectors.....If you find anything out about them I would like to know some history on it. I also have one that has small horseshoes around the
bottom and a larger horseshoe by the neck of the bottle with a banner across the
horseshoe that says GREEN RIVER... and Full Quart beneath the horseshoe.

I also have one bottle I got scuba diving about 10 years ago in a small lake in upstate New York. My sister who lived in Atlanta at the time went to library and found that the oil was used in paint. I guess you added the oil to the paint as per directions.
