    I just unpacked this Kestner doll. On the back of the head it says 237 & 16. I bought it for my daughter when she was little. Can anyone tell me the year or if is a reproduction or original? There is no other marking on the head. Thank you.

      Reproduction doll . All the dolls in photo are reproductions . Many of these made in doll making classes where they supplied a blank mold of a antique doll that they make ,you paint it and they fire it in kiln . You could buy arms and legs ,bodies wigs,clothes ect. Popular in 70s'through 1990's
