Does anyone know who George H Smith is?

I found this book at a thrift store and did a search on George H. Smith. The only thing I found was was information from the Minnesota Historical Society on G. Hubert Smith. Does anyone know if these 2 gentlemen are the same person? There is a written note on the inside front page that says he is Father Smith Owatonna, Minnesota.
