So I went to an estate sale for a huge doll collector who passed, she had many high end himstedt, reborns etc and this little cutie was there. They had no certificates or boxes for the dolls and this one was broken, they ended up giving it to me for only 10.00 in hopes I could repair it. My question is who made this doll? I cannot for life of me find any markings on him AT ALL .. he is I think a vinyl but he feels like he is weighted with sand or something, he weighs 4 pounds. Maybe a prototype? ANY help identifying him would be greatly appreciated. Also any help on how to fix this arm? He is a solid piece except the two arms which have seams below the shoulders.
Hi! Fellow doll friend! I am so curious about this doll as well. Did you ever find out what he was? Or who his artist was? I realize this is an old post but I just stumbled across it. Thank you for any info you may have. (:
I could be wrong but too me it look's like it's one of the imported Chinese counterfeit reborns that they promote that the dolls are handmade with "silicone vinyl".
And the problem with that is there is no such thing as "silicone vinyl"
