It was actually found by my husband a few years ago we forgot all about it it was placed in a metal tin container and I just found it in his not tarnished or changed in that time it was in the container. It has to be either solid brass because I do not believe it's cold it's heavy it's months kind of sharp so don't believe it's a letter opener believe in some sort of dagger there are no markings from just trying to find out a little bit more information about it. Definitely handcrafted
