This listing is for a “one of a kind”, screen used movie prop from the film, The Gift. Buddy's brass Zippo lighter, played by Giovanni Ribisi, depicts a plaque to commemorate the surrender of Japan to the Allied powers on board the U.S.S. Missouri which took place in Tokyo Bay. Used in the scene where Buddy (Giovanni Ribisi) bounds and tries to burn his father.
This item includes a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
Condition:
Item was used during production of the film. Item shows faintscratches/marks/dents, and rubbing of the brass (of which was added on purpose). Pictures are of the actual item.
Film Plot:
The Gift is a 2000 American supernatural thriller film directed by Sam Raimi, written by Billy Bob Thornton and Tom Epperson and based on the alleged psychic experiences of Thornton's mother.
The film centers on Annie (Cate Blanchett) becoming involved in a murder case as a result of acquiring keen knowledge about the crime through her extrasensory perception. Other major characters are played by Keanu Reeves, Giovanni Ribisi, Hilary Swank, Katie Holmes, and Greg Kinnear.
