Hi all fan collectors. I am just beginning my fan collection and found this Arctic fan at a flea market. It did not have a base so my husband made one. I have searched the internet and have not found one like it. I would love any help in identifying the year (decade) and approximate value. Thank you ll so much!

Interesting cage design. Possibly made by Smith mfg co. Could be another company as Sears sold some in their catalog under that name but made by various manufacturers.
It has a pan style motor housing so that would indicate pre 1950 which indicates 1930s. Not much happened in the 1940s due to WWII. Only GE and Westinghouse could make fans then.
Is the motor housing made out of cast iron or pressed steel?
