    My girlfriend purchased this from one of friends that is an antique dealer. He was not exactly sure of what it is....we think it may be some kind of sewing stand or serving stand?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      It looks like a dish and flatware caddy, for eating outdoors, or on a patio. You would put the flatware on the top segmented basket, and the dishes would be underneath, on the two shelves, held in place in the circles.
