I am trying to find out the origin of this porringer, who created it and when. I think it is pewter, but it may be lead or silver, as the handle seems to be flexible. The initials are d, w and a capital P in a circle underneath a design that resembles a tree or a bush with hearts in it. It was a gift from a deceased neighbor to my baby son as a shower gift. She was nordic-polish descent, but was born and raised in US, Boston, MA. She had an affiliation with the ethan allen furniture store many years ago.

And the bowl is 2-1/2 circumference, 1" deep and the handle is about 1-1/2" long.
