      Hi,
      I'm not an appraiser, but I have approximately 70 Gurley instruments in my collection. Your compass would probably sell for anywhere from $200 to $600 on eBay. Gurley didn't put serial numbers on their instruments until 1909, so yours is a 1908 or older model.
