I have a pair of unmarked etched glass flower vases that were passed down from my grandparents. I think they may have been a wedding gift (1897) or a 50th wedding anniversary gift (1947). I'm leaning toward the earlier date but would appreciate a way to better date the vases.

the design appears to be wheel cut and consistent with Elegant Glass of the depression era and following.

I agree with TC. The quality and style of the engraving is not consistent with the 1897 date. They appear to date from the 1920s.
