Looking for some education on these

Was told they are from WWII and taken of a tank. Information is old of course. From what I’ve seen in research though, they look to be naval. The party who brought them back served in Okinawa. These are rough pics from my father in laws garage who just acquired them from his sister who stored his father’s belongings. So they could be cleaned up more. He assigned me the task of finding out more. Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can pass along to him. Thank you.
