Can anyone identify this gold trimmed clear smoky glass candy dish? There is a gold number 18 inside the lid and on the bottom of the dish. The glass lid had a rough cut finish about 3/16 inches (.5 cm) thick. The bowl is about 1/8 inch (abt .4 cm) thick and the outside diameter is abt 7 1/16" (16.1 cm). My mother used this dish for treats since 1980 or before.

This is still an unsolved mystery. It's identity has not been found on line or in books. Does anyone know who the manufacturer was or when was it produced? Was the number 18 used to identify its owner, the mold or the amount made?
