Hi Scani, sorry for the delay, I was working. The clay pot says KLINKRO, the yellow/greenish says L/G(or 6) ,with a symbol that looks like a cup with "C" inside. The other just has "GERMANY" imprinted into the border of the base. Any thoughts? Thanks

Thank you Amy for all your help. I've tried to take pictures of the bottom of both, my camera is not so hot, but I'll try a different setting . Thanks again, bernie

I did. I got them the old fashioned way, inherited them from a dear friend who was like a second "Mom" to me. She was from Danzig orig., well travelled, from a wealthy family before the war, lost everything during, came here to Canada with nothing,& made a good life for herself. Most of my "treasures" come from her!

I do think of her every time I look at them! Thanks Amy. Danzig was part of Poland, then became part of Germany.I have many old things from the '20's-40's from there, pictures, postcards, drawings, paintings, war-time journals, all in German, which I can't read. A treasure-trove of things that were important to her,so they are important to me. I wish I could find a suitable cause/institution/charity to donate them to, she would like that. Maybe I need to learn German.

She was that! You've helped a lot with identifying some of her things. I knew she had a good eye for quality, coming from her background. Her house was full of all things Scandinavian, you would have loved it!Now I need to figure out how to take beautiful pictures of them like you do. Are you a pro- photographer?
