    Does anyone have info about this train set? It was purchased in Germany about 1968. We cannot get it to work, but could be the wrong power source. Thank you.

      I am no train guy but you might try touching your two power wires directly to the motor brush connectors. ( where the wires connect to the motor.) This will bypass any shorts and tell you if the motor will turn on 12v.

      I think they used a different kind of transformer back then, and analog transformer.
