Original, USPTO issued design patent number 20,456 by Ernest F. Pflueger dated Jan 6, 1891. The named invention is for a "Roll Spring for Collar Pad Fasteners"... This illustration is by no means a reproduction or a copy. The illustration has several notations, USPTO issued stamps and seals within the margins an on the back. Mr Pflueger's signature is in the lower right corner... in ink.
