I recently found a left-handed firstbase mitt. The label on it says Sears, and the number in the heal of the glove is 1683. It also says full grain cowhide and nylon stitched.

Does anyone know what company manufactured mitts for sears, and the approximate age and value of the mitt?

I'd lay odds the glove was made in Japan or Mexico. Now that look closer it looks like "handcrafted in Mexico" is stamped on the glove. Could be wrong, my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Not sure, but I think it says Hand crafted in Korea.
