birmingham evening mail newspaper for 5th may 1972.---price then was 3pence---price now is 48pence=16x inflation in 40 years. was found in a flat i moved into in 1982. i kept it for the future.

1972-my job was a cost clerk at the triumph motor company in bordesley green birmingham----wage was £22 a week--cash then in the brown wages envelope!!!-no computers then, although in 1971 we had the first electronic calculator--mains only--a huge thing it was like a portable radio.
