Can anyone help me with some background on this soda siphon?

On the glass it says A R Dootson, Leigh, Lancs, est 1879 and the paper label on the neck says Hills Padiham. I have Googled both companies, but I can't find anything about either.

If someone could give me information about these companies or the age of the soda siphon I would really appreciate it!

many of these were brought over from england and sold for 5-10$ at antique shows in the 1990s and around the year 2000.

looks like yours are about 1940-60s. because of the plastic spouts. in america they generaly only sold the seltzer water like this from about 1900- 1930.
