I am looking for some info. about this chair I have in my collection. Thanks for the help!

I found this chair at a second hand store about a year ago, it was the only one of this kind. I am wondering what everyone think about the age, style, condition, etc.

This chair had a patent stamped somewhere on it if I recall correctly. I will have to look at it again if anyone is interested in helping me ID it.
